Running for five kilometres along the shore line of Lake Wakatipu, this walkway/cycleway is one of the miss sites of tourists. Yet it is below many of the hotels that line this part of the lake.

Even though its entire length is within 100 metres of the main access highway into Queenstown, you rarely hear the traffic and even less frequently see it. Instead it is a very idyllic route to walk along other than the odd cyclist. And with stunning lake views and the spectacular vistas of the Remarkables, this route is really worth the journey.

Parking is immediately adjacent to this point.
