Next to the fountain there is an info board with its history in Czech:
The fountain has been built in 1888, the water was supplied by a wooden aquaduct. In 1937 the village built a water system and there was no use for the fountain anymore: later it has been filled by soil and used as a large flower pot. This helped to conserve it till today and in 1998 the village government decided to repair the fountain to working state again.
