Morgan County Sheriff's House and Jail was built in 1890. The Italianate styled building was designed by architect T.J. Turner. The building continued to be used by the county until the early 1990's. The building is now owned by the Morgan County Historic Preservation Society who have stabilized and repaired the building. A catering company operates from the building and uses it as an event center.
