Visitors arriving in Groveton, New Hampshire are greeted by two pieces of history as they cross the Upper Ammonoosuc River: the Groveton Covered Bridge, and a beautifully preserved steam engine with an attached caboose.

Located along the banks of the Upper Ammonoosuc River, this standard styled caboose bears a sign with the message "Welcome to Groveton - Visit our Downtown". The steam engine attached to the front of the caboose was originally owned by a local paper mill.
