The hotel's original artesian well is located 720 feet deep beneath the lobby floor and still provides water to every faucet in the hotel.

There is a fountain near the entrance to the hotel for you to sample the water. The original and still functioning water gauge is across from the elevators. The well is in the basement and not visible to the public. The water tastes fine, but doesn't seem different from any other water.
