Levitt Stadium at East Hill Park is one of several public facilities in York improved or constructed with funds donated by E.A. "Lige" Levitt and his wife, Lorraine. Mr. Levitt had come to York from Russia as a young man, and after a successful career in building and lumber yard operation, became president of York's First National Bank.
Levitt Stadium is used by York High School and York College for baseball, football and soccer competition, and the field is used for other competition and entertainment activities as the schedule allows.
The stadium, field and associated facilities have been well maintained. A new restroom, locker room, and concession facility north of the stands is currently in the planning stages, as sports officials use the current restrooms for their dressing rooms.
