Rocky cliff Palicník lies on the slopes of the hill wedge between Smedava alpine chalet and Smrk Mt. and it is perhaps the most impressive of all view points in the Jizera Mountains.
Summit of Palicník (944 m) is accessible by several well marked touristic trails from Smedava alpine chalet or from Bílý Potok village. The top of 30 m high granite rocky cliff (...its visit is much more difficult during snowy winter) is surrounded by iron railings. Palicník itself, as well as the western slopes of the Klínový vrch (Klínový hill) with many other nearby rock formations are part of National Nature Preserve.
