The Skyhawk has a long and distinguished history. The first flight of the XA4D-1 occurred in June 1954 and the first fleet flight in September 1956, starting what would be an almost 50 year run in both the Navy and Marine Corps.
I have found pictures of this aircraft serving with VMA-133 Dragons, a USMC fleet squadron, and VF-126 Bandits as an aggressor. Willing to bet it made it's way up to Fallon from Mirimar as an aggressor prior to retirement. Observers will note that this aircraft lost the distincitive avionics "hump" associated with the F models when it took on aggressor duties.
Currently painted in the colors of VA-94 Mighty Shrikes. The Shrikes are still around, flying Hornets out of NAS Lemoore.
