This new mural is located in downtown Fulton, New York. It is located along the Erie Canal-(Oswego River portion), and gives the viewer a look into the past, of what it looked like along the canal, during the late 1800's.

This mural is the first of many planned for the downtown Fulton area. It was initiated through the efforts of Fulton Savings Bank and the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce. The organizers reviewed renderings from several local artists, finally choosing local art teacher and artist Benjamin Jarred's submission. This was a new experience for Ben, as he had never painted on such a large scale before. The mural is called "Commerce Along the Erie Canal". The mural was finished during the last couple of weeks of September, 2009.
