When I visited this Wat I could not find anyone to talk to! There were a few monks sitting, but they seemed entirely uninterested in answering my questions about their Wat. This surprised me. In my experience monks greatly enjoy talking about their Wat. Anyway.

This Wat covered a large area, was undergoing major refurbishment (cleaning and replacing old building), and looked to be fairly rich.

This Wat is close to Bangkok hospital, Pattaya (WM78EC), the most costly private hospital in Pattaya. The joke is, so I have been told, that many 'farang' (westerners), who die at this hospital, are cremated at Wat Nong Yai.
