This is the UK's tallest single drop waterfall at 240ft. Parking and a small cafe, Tan-y-Pistyll, is at the end of the valley road, next to the waterfall.
Parking is £2 but there is a free parking at large lay-by approxmately 200 yards before the cafe (get there early). In addition to the waterfall, this is a great place from which to explore the Berwyn Mountains. Moel Sych, Cadair Berwyn and Cadair Bronwen are favourites.
There used to be a pet goat that would sometimes decide to follow walkers for a day out and the chance to snaffle someones sandwiches. I think packed lunches are safe now though
Winter can be a bit wild but there is always piping hot chocolate and cake to be had in the cafe on your return. Enjoy!
