Freestone park was dedicated to Thomas L Freestone in 1988 for his service as a Maricopa County Supervisor.
65 acres this park includes lakes, basketball and volleyball courts, ramadas and of course the Freestone Railroad.
The railroad is a replica of an 1880 engine and is open year round on weekends and holidays. It travels around the major lake in the park and its depot also has a small ferris wheel, a large carousel and a wave runner ride.
All ages are welcome to ride the train however if you're under 42" tall you must be accompanied by and adult.
