Constructed in 1924, this 10 story limestone bulding has hosted every Republican president while in office or afterward. The design for the building was to contain hotel space, dining rooms, meeting rooms, reading areas and offices. The exterior was design with a combination of Late Gothic and Early Renaissance elements. Sculptor Alexander Sangernebo carved the relief panels thoughout the fascade.
