A sizeable, full service public hospital for 'poorer' residents of Na kluea (the region immediately north of Pattaya), Thailand.

Bang is a hospital in the 'poorer' area of Pattaya/Na Kluea. It clearly caters for 'poorer' people. However, having said that it looks entirely serviceable. There is an emergency dept, surgery, the whole 9 years. I would guestimate ~200 bed plus, plus outpatients. Inside it is clean and neat. However, as a sign that it caters almost exclusively to a Thai clientele, there are only a few English language signs in the hospital.
Immediately adjacent there is a new hospital building under construction (2009) into which the hospital will move upon completion.
Just in case anyone is interested: I have been told by some western residents that Banglamung is a death trap, by others that it is as good as the most expensive private hospitals—with both calling from the same pool of Drs. So, there you go.
