This beautiful, historical fountain stands in a park in Lymington near to the river.

The marble design has an inscription which reads as follows:

'Presented to the inhabitants of Lymington and the neighbourhood by the wife and children of the late William Rooke March 1886.'

'In memory of William Wowen Rooke died at Woodside April 8th 1885. The memory of the just is blessed.'

The fountain stands on a hexagonal base in the grass in this small park.
