The only writing on the disk reads "Broward County Engineering Department.". This is the last in a long string of benchmarks which stretches several miles along Griffin Road in an easterly direction toward the shoreline and airport.

This benchmark is easy to find. It is next to an Florida D.O.T benchmark, about two feet away. It is just past a concrete seam, separating the walkway. This benchmark is on the left edge, a few inches from the curb, just after the gray strip. The D.O.T benchmark is in the middle of the sidewalk. They are both 1.31 miles from the airport. Although unwritten, this is most likely a survey marker.
