The wardens could not be more helpful when we stayed there - excellent.
Sitting in the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Alston is England’s highest market town, where steep cobbled streets are surrounded by wild solitary fells. YHA Alston is a traditional property overlooking the South Tyne Valley and makes an excellent stopover point for walkers and cyclists on the Pennine Way and the Coast-to-Coast cycle route. A full meals service and good self-catering facilities are available.
