A sculpture by Victor Frisch of Lucius Nathan Littauer. A graduate of Harvard he started out in Gloversville in the glove manufacturing business. He was elected as a republican to the 55th and to the 4 succeeding congresses. He devoted his life to education, medical research, and philanthropy and in 1936 he gave $2 million to start the Harvard's Graduate School of Public Administration. In 1875 he was listed as a substitute in the first Yale-Harvard game. In 1881 he returned to Harvard to coach football. He also donated the money to build a hospital in his home town of Gloversville for which he is named. Happy Waymarking, Swizzle & Family
