The cradle of Czech Scouting because there Antonín Benjamin Svojsík organized the first Boy Scout camps. On the occasion of the 120th here is the anniversary of the birth (14.9. 1996) unveiled a memorial plaque.

The founder of our movement was Antonín Benjamin Svojsík. Born in Prague 5.9.1876
1911 on his way to England, where he first met the young men. After arriving from England, began to work hard of the Czech Scouting.
"The great experiment in 1912" called the chief's brother Rudolf Plajner first camp Czech young men, who on holiday in 1912 made its predecessor A.B.Svojsík. First Svojsík had to find a suitable place for camping and get the permit. Had an advantage - his father-in-Josef Stransky was Vorlovského forest district administrator under the castle Lipnice the Czech-Moravian Highlands. Svojsík the places he knew well, and drove there with his family every holiday and there are also pre-translated Scouting for Boys. Tent Svojsík borrowed from the military and other equipment purchased with the contribution of the Land Commission for the protection of children.
