Buriram is a north eastern province of Thailand, lying ~400kms east of Bangkok. Its economy is largely agricultural. In the capital city of the province, also named Buriram, is the provincial bus station.
The bus station has capacity for approximately 20 large buses. There is a central, rectangular waiting area, with food and drink vendors, and ticket counters at the entrance. Buses arrive and depart for locations over north eastern Thailand, and to Bangkok. There are also smaller, 'local' buses, serving the towns and villages inside the province. Around the station building are tuk-tuks and samloars (rickshaw) ready to take you to anywhere in the town. Thais rely a great deal on their bus service for transportation, so the bus station is always busy.
