Like any other town in California, we are overrun with super-market chains. But - also like any other town in California - between the Safeways, Albertsons and Raleys, there are small stores called Mercado, which is Spanish for grocer. This one is just around the corner from our home and it has everything we need - faster, cheaper and friendlier.
