Housed in this 19th century building the museum displays many maritime artefacts including an old RNLI lifeboat 'Poole lifeboat Thomas Kirk Wright' which is on loan from The National Maritime Museum. The boat was built in 1938 and went out of service in 1962. In 1940 this same lifeboat was used to serve at Dunkirk rescuing our men and was towed back badly damaged. (visit link)

The museum is free to enter and is run by volunteers with all proceeds going to the valuable RNLI.
