I found this sign in Johnstown while taking pics of an old church. This sign is located in Sir William Johnson Memorial Park right in front of Sir William Johnson's grave. To find this sign take Rt.30 out of Fonda and into Johnstown. Take your left onto Rt.29 and stay on this until you see the park on your right. There is parking on N.Williams St. I was sifting through all of the listings in this category and I didn't see any aweful lot on Women's Rights. If this is the true birthplace of Women's Right's then this really is an important piece of history that needs to be shared. It is located in the middle of alot of local history and alot of my latest waymarks are here. I don't want to see this one getting lost in the shuffle. Please plan to spend more then a few hours in this town. There is a lot of history here and much to be seen. Maybe someday there will be a more suitable memorial here then just a sign board. Until then please visit this nice little "small town" city park and enjoy. For those who would like a little added logging requirement then how about the first name on the top of the memorial walkway stone on the other side of the fence, behind Sir William Johnson's Grave.
