Sept. 2009:
St. Paul Lutheran Church was founded in the 1870s by German immigrant farmers. The complex included the church, school, parsonage and teacher's homes as well as the cemetery.
With rural depopulation, the church closed in 1965 and the unoccupied buildings slowly deteriorated. The school building and one home were torn down or moved. One of the homes is still occupied as a private residence to the north of the former church site. The cemetery is well maintained, and has permanent monuments describing the congregation's history.
The church building was eventually moved in to York, where it was restored and now serves as the York College Prayer Chapel.
