Reportedly by the highpointers group, the elevation is 4280+ ft above sea level (elevation given below is what my 60CSx read at the gate), but the location is restricted access due to a FAA tower on this federal lands. Coordinates are for the front gate which can see the highest point from there. While the fence can easily be walked around, the no trespassing signs mean business, thus stay out. (Access fee would then be the cost of being prosecuted!)
Drive up access is via Panhandle Road off TN91, which is a combination of gravel and asphalt from over ten miles.
