This S shaped bridge was constructed to carry the Cumberland Road over the small steam that runs below it. The bridge is in remarkable shape for its age. The replacement concrete bridge running beside it is in the process of being rebuilt. See the nearby waymarks for a photo of the bridge.

The text from the sign:

This stone bridge was part of the National, or Cumberland Road. Originated in 1805, it was completed to Wheeling in 1818. Over it passed countless wagons and stages uniting the East and the growing West.
