The Cox Mountain Trailhead is at the Few's Ford Access portion of Eno River State Park near Durham, NC. The trail travels down from the parking area toward another waymark, the Eno River Pedestrian Suspension Bridge.

The trail is somewhat steep and erosion is a problem. In 1995, John Pearson of Troop 400 improved the steep trail portion by installing pressure treated timbers to make steps. Some of these timbers are also diverting runoff away from the slope and into the woods, preventing erosion.

A portion of the trail project:

Signage on of the timbers:

Project Completion Date: 06/01/1995
