Sideling Hill near Hancock MD - Scenic Roadside Look-Outs on Waymarking.com

At Sideling Hill, a dramatic cut through rock strata can be seen where I-68 was blasted through the mountain. At the top of the walkway leading up to the rock, a view of the country side can be enjoyed. Mountains can be seen across Maryland and Pennsylvania. Several "pay per view" binoculars are at this rest stop.
The main center is on the westbound side of I-68 and can be accessed by a pedestrian bridge from the eastbound side. Rest facilities are also on the eastbound side.
