This bridge allows safe passage of hikers across a fairly deep creek bed on Trail #1 in Charlestown State Park, Indiana. Whether there is any water flowing or not will depend on the amount of recent rainfall.
Trail #1 is a 2.4 mile loop trail that meanders through dense floodplain forest and climbs up the valley wall to wind along rock outcroppings and abutments. It also offers views of Fourteen Mile Creek, beautiful wildflowers, and some great bird watching.
Parking is at N 38º 26' 44.54" W 85º 38' 10.79". From there the shorter distance to the bridge is to hike the trail counterclockwise.
