This is the first public golf course in Scotland County. It was first named Ine's Lodge after the retreat of Ms Ine McNair. It was used as a gathering place for receptions, showers, large dinners and family gatherings over the years in its secluded location off US 74. The surrounding grounds were transformed into a golf course. An unfortunate turn of events occurred one night when the Lodge burned down. A new club house was built in its place. Many of the locals frequent the links at what is now called Cypress Creek.
