This box features an eagle on one side, and a locally well-known fishing boat, the "Soyokaze" (Gentle Wind) on the other. The Soyokaze was taken from the Japanese-Canadian owners during WWII and sold. The original owner bought it back after the war and continued to fish with it. Upon retirement he donated it to the Campbell River Museum, where it is now on display.
Name of Artist: Dan Richey

Title of the Art: Gentle Wind

Year Decorated: 2005
