This marker is located just north of N&W Salvage on the south side of US 60. It is one of four markers in Sandston that indicate McClellan's position during the Battle of Seven Pines. The inscription reads as follows:
The picket line of McClellan's army crossed the road here on the morning of May 31, 1862.
The marker was placed in 1927.
