The Roman style mosaic was part of the regeneration of the Banks, and depicts the bird life visible on the Solway estuary in front of you. It is taken from the drawings of the primary school children with the help of the artist Gilly Walton. Amongst the birds shown are oystercatcher, canada geese, cormorant and heron. Two salmon flank the scene.
