This library is open to the general public, I am not sure if nonstudents can check out books. Ground was broke for this library May 11, 1949 at a budget of $2,000,000. The building was completed April 7, 1951. In 1967, construction began to almost double the size, at a cost of $6,670,000. It was complete in 1972 and looked much the way it does now. The hours of operation during school semesters are:
M-Th 7:00am - 2:00pm
Fri 7:30am - 10:00pm
Sun Noon - 2:00am
