Edenvale Garden Park is the location of what used to be Frontier Village, an amusement park for children with a wild west theme.
Frontier Village no longer exists, but several birdhouses have been created within the park, that mark the spot and have the theme of the ride or building that used to be at that location.
The old Lost Dutchman Mine Ride of Frontier Village was where eerie music floated through the air, adults and kids zigzagged their way through a maze of scary stalactites, whirlpools, fsalling rocks, skeletons of old-timers and an old miner setting off a dynamite charge at the end of the ride. The mine ride was the backdrop for the trout fishing pond. This birdhouse was recreated in the image of the Lost Dutchman Mine Ride and was designed with bird entrance holes and cavities to attract the Chestnut-backed Chickadee.
