ABR-28 U. S. Dept. of Agriculture Forest Service - Fox Mt. - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

U. S. Dept. of Agriculture Forest Service Marker ABR-28 is located on a secondary peak approximately 1/4 mile southwest and slightly lower than the highest peak on Fox Mountain. A fire lookout tower is located on the highest peak. Communication towers are located on the lower peak. The disc is mounted on a small concrete base in a large rocky clearing (in the picture of the fire bus, the base is about 10 feet from the left front tire of the bus with my GPSr is sitting on top of it). The base is at 9262 feet (per my GPSr). I was working on a wildland fire called the "Willie Fire" when I found this marker. The view is fantastic.
