The Soyokaze is a fishing boat which was owned by a man of Japanese descent. During World War II the boat was seized and the family sent to an interment camp. At the end of the war Mr. Matsunaga bought the boat back from the government and continued to fish with it. Upon retirement Mr. Matsunaga donated the boat to the Campbell River Museum.
