NOTE: Located at Lakeside, Ohio - a gated community. Gate fee charged

Built in 1875, the Lakeside Chapel served for 25 years as part of a three-point circuit with Christy Chapel and Catawba Island.

Lakeside is among the first Chautauqua communities founded in the United States, in 1873, by the Methodist Church. It has been a center for religion, education, cultural arts, recreation and relaxation for more than 135 years. Today, it thrives as one of the few remaining Chautauqua communities.

The building now houses the Heritage Hall Museum, open during the summer Tuesday - Saturday 10 am - 12 noon and 1 pm - 4 pm; Sunday 1:30 - 4:30 pm (closed on Monday).
