The giant lock and chain hanging from The Fortress storage building in Boston has been a landmark for travelers on I-93 South for decades. It suffers the ravages of the elements and vandalism, but always returns to its landmark location.

The corporate headquarters for the Fortress are here in Boston, with additional facilities in New York and Miami. They offer museum quality storage for high end art and objects needing the special security, handling, and climate controlled storage offered here.

This building, located at 99 Boston St., faces north and is a landmark when traveling south on I-93 out of downtown. The view of the giant lock and chain is almost impossible to photograph from the ground level.
