St. Catherine's Church is the Jesuit church located on the Catherine's Square in the Upper Town of Zagreb. Foundation stone for this church was laid by Zagreb bishop Petar Domitrovic on May 20, 1620. Another Zagreb bishop, Franjo Ergelski, dedicated this church on September 26, 1632. Church was thoroughly renovated in the period between 1967-1992. St. Catherine's Church is famous for its wall paintings and sculptures. It is regarded as one of the most beautiful and most fully preserved Baroque churches.
