Established on December 6, 1996, St. Nicholas Church Cemetery is a small cemetery located behind St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Santa Claus, IN. The cemetery is quite small at this time (approximately 25 markers), although it is landscaped well and features a beautiful crucifix statue.
The cemetery is the final resting place of William Koch, one of the founders of the nearby Holiday World & Splashin' Safari amusement park. As the photo of his marker indicates, he and his wife Patricia (who still helps run the park) "believed in Santa Claus."
