On June 12, 1986, the Tampa City Council passed Ordinance No. 9297-a naming this 0park:
"Ybor Centennial Park By Which Name It Shall Hereafter And Forever Be Known."
The Ordinance Commemorates Ybor City's Centennial and it's colorful and vibrant past. The park officially honors Vicente Martinez - Ybor, the developer of Ybor City. This world famous cigar center gave Tampa its rich and exotic Latin Heritage.

Located in historic Ybor City, Centennial Park offers shade, benches and statues representing those who contribued to Ybor's history. Its central location provides a place for many events, including Flan Fest, Festa Italiana, the Ybor Arts and Crafts Festival, parades, and more.
