Writen on the Canada Parks information board at the beginning of the trailhead:
"These mountains arose 400 million years ago. Ocean and glaciers entered this valley and retreated. Beulach Ban Waterfall remains: flowing from a plateau lake, tumbling into the North Aspy river, emptying inot the Atlantic. Once called Horsetail Falls, its waters link highland and valley, past and future."
This waterfall is located at the end of a 4 km dirt road, located midway between Cheticamp and Ingonish on the Cabot Trail. The falls can be viewed after a 10 minute walk from the parking area.
A Parks Canada fee will have to be paid; cost will depend on how long you will be in the Highlands.
