Fort Funston is one of the best places on the planet to hang glide. Consistently flyable winds year round, easy access from all over the SF Bay Area, a variety of challenging and rewarding weather conditions, convenient top landing, and the near-mythical Funston Shear make it an all-around favorite.

Fort Funston operates a wind, weather and webcam system to provide information about the flying conditions to to the hang-gliding community. This information can be accessed at the Wind and Webcam site or by calling their recorded phone message, which is updated every 20 minutes, at (415) 333-0100.

Visit Instructions:
You must post Waymark coordinates as well as a picture
of you with a GPSr or Geocaching/Waymarking
attire/equipment and the subject weather station in
the background. The main photo should be of just the
weather station itself.
