The land for this sports complex was purchased from Mr. & Mrs. Edwin Pate Located beside the school, it is the home of our local high school football and soccer teams. At present, the home bleachers are concrete risers. Lighting is supplied by light on the four pre-stressed concrete poles. The press box sits atop the home side bleachers. At the west end of the field in is the field house for the teams to dress and shower. Surrounding the field is a track for the track team to host track and field meets. Because it is the largest facility in the area, it is used for other public functions such as the school's graduation in June, Relay for Life events, and a local soccer team's matches. For me personally, I think one big source of pride for the community is that it was mostly paid for with donations and built with the labor of local citizens who pitched in to do some of the strong back work needed to transform an old cotton field into a stadium.
