For dining with a view, Armstrong's Seafood is one of the best places to be along Avalon Harbor on Catalina Island. Their extensive menu of seafood is not the cheapest, but reasonable, and the atmosphere is authentic.

Armstrong’s Fish Market and Seafood Restaurant is located on the bay in the quaint seaside town of Avalon on beautiful Santa Catalina Island, California. Armstrong’s opened its doors on June 12, 1983 on the former terminal site of the historic “Great White Steamer” the SS Catalina that ferried passengers to and from the island from 1924 to 1975.
For over twenty years hosts Russ and Jenny Armstrong have been dedicated to offering their valued customers the freshest, highest quality seafood available to either dine in or take home and prepare. Swordfish, lobster, sanddabs, white seabass and other fish are brought in fresh during their season by local boats and much of the seafood is simply and perfectly grilled over sizzling hot mesquite charcoal to sear in the flavor. Armstrong’s also offers tender steaks and chicken prepared on the mesquite broiler.
The relaxing waterside location of Armstrong’s Seafood Restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal with a favorite bottle of wine or a refreshing cocktail on the open air deck while enjoying a front row view of beautiful Avalon Bay.
