The animated effect can only be seen at night when the sign is operating! It is on the southwest side of the ball park near the historic 3rd Street Bridge.

This animated neon sign sequences through a series of changes that depicts a home run splashing into McCovey Cove over the right field wall.

Inside the stadium, there's a small scoreboard on the right field wall that shows the season count of "Splash" hits. Left handed batter Barry Bonds was famous for splashing homers amidst the kayakers floating in the cove.
