Walt Disney World consists of 25,000 acres of land (twice the size of Manhattan) and contains four theme parks. The most famous of these theme parks is the Magic Kingdom, followed by Epcot, Disney's Animal Kingdom, and Disney Hollywood Studios. There are also numerous resort hotels, golf courses, water parks, and a retail and entertainment district.
Disney World is the brainchild of Walt Disney. After successfully opening Disneyland in Anaheim, California, Disney wanted another theme park on the east coast of the country. He secretly bought land in central Florida starting in 1964 using fake company names to avoid the public catching on. After about a year Disney had accumulated all the land needed to start planning Disney World. The Magic Kingdom opened October 1, 1971, followed by Epcot in 1982, Disney's Hollywood Studious in 1989 and Disney's Animal Kingdom in 1998.

Localized waymark sites (Structures, Landmarks, Businesses) should reflect standard waymarking visit criteria (Logs & photos).
