Three Coast Redwoods can be found in a group of six redwoods located on the west side of the theater arts building on the campus of Humboldt State University. There are actually 8 trees on the west side of the building, but there is a distinctive group of 6 south of two other separate redwood trees. The middle three of the group are the Moon Trees.

Interestingly, there is no plaque or anything identifying these trees as moon trees, yet they have been documented as moon trees on a NASA website and in the Humboldt State school newspaper.

The school received the three trees because of the efforts of Congressman Don Clausen of the first district.

Type of Tree: Redwood
