The history of the town of New Castle is centered around the old courthouse. New Castle used to be the first capitol of America's first state. Inside the old courthouse (which is one of the oldest courthouses still in use) is a museum. Across from the courthouse, is the town's town hall. It's housed in a nice old building. Behind the courthouse is the town common, where back in the days the gallows stood. Also behind the courthouse is a statue of William Penn, who arrived in New Castle centuries ago. A few feet from the center is Battery Park on the edge of Delaware Bay.

Visit Instructions:
Because of the vastness of many of the "non-localized" sites (Gobi Desert, Great Wall of China), waymark owners are encouraged to allow visits that reflect different perspectives and experiences.
Localized waymark sites (Structures, Landmarks, Businesses) should reflect standard waymarking visit criteria (Logs & photos).
